The Department of Business, Employment and Social Economy has received nearly 700 applications for permanent hiring aid since April, with a budget of €4.6 million.
The Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the Region of Murcia has received nearly 700 applications from companies and freelancers for permanent hiring aid, a grant line that this year has a budget of €4.6 million. The call, open since last April, will remain valid until 30 September.
Incentives of up to €15,750 per permanent contract
The aid is structured into six lines of grants, with incentives ranging from €2,000 to €15,750 per contract. They are aimed at promoting permanent hiring of groups with special difficulties in job insertion, such as young people, women, and long-term unemployed.
Additionally, the call also includes incentives for companies that convert temporary training contracts into permanent ones, a measure aimed at stabilising employment and reducing temporality in the regional labour market.
The general director of the SEF, Pilar Valero, explained during an informative session held at the Official College of Social Graduates of the Region that the aim is to “provide companies and freelancers with resources to help them consolidate their projects, strengthen their teams, and boost their competitiveness.” More than a hundred professionals from the sector attended the event.
'Young Employment Connection' programme for first jobs
During the session, attendees also learned about the details of 'Young Employment Connection', a programme launched this year by the SEF with a budget of five million euros. This initiative finances the labour costs arising from the full-time permanent hiring of young graduates in positions related to their training.
The grant is equivalent to the current Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI), including employer contributions to Social Security, for a period of six months. For companies and freelancers in the Region, it represents an opportunity to incorporate young talent without assuming the full initial salary cost.
Applications for both lines of aid can be submitted through the electronic headquarters of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia until 30 September. Interested parties must meet the specific requirements of each programme, such as the link between the position and the degree of the young person hired in the case of 'Young Employment Connection'.
A boost to stable employment in the Region
The aid arrives at a time when job stability remains a priority for the Murcian business fabric, which is predominantly made up of SMEs and freelancers. With nearly 700 applications in just three months, the initial reception reflects the demand for support to formalise permanent contracts.
The SEF reminds that the grants are compatible with other aids, provided they do not exceed the limits established by European de minimis regulations. Interested companies can consult the complete bases on the SEF portal or visit employment offices for personalised advice.
The application deadline ends on 30 September, so companies and freelancers who have not yet submitted their request have just over two months to process it. The resolution of the aids will be carried out in order of entry, until the available credit is exhausted.
