The City Council and the Chamber of Valladolid have approved 76 applications from 41 companies, with a budget of €134,500, to promote decarbonisation.

The environmental responsibility aid programme promoted by the City Council of Valladolid and the Chamber of Valladolid has given the green light to 76 applications submitted by 41 companies in the city. Of these, 37 are aimed at developing environmental responsibility and decarbonisation plans, while the remaining 39 will finance specific measures to reduce emissions linked to business activities.

The initiative, framed within the Valladolid Climate Mission Action Plan, has a budget of €134,500 and is coordinated by the Innovation and Economic Development Agency (IdeVa). Its aim is to advance towards the city's climate neutrality by supporting companies in their sustainable transition.

68% of the beneficiaries are micro-enterprises. The call has reached sectors such as professional services (engineering, technology and consulting), industry, hospitality, commerce, tourism, logistics, leisure and environmental services.

Currently, more than 50 actions are underway and 16 environmental responsibility plans and nine emission reduction measures have already been completed. Companies are working on energy efficiency, labour and operational mobility, waste management, energy generation and emission compensation.

The programme offers a comprehensive service of information, advice and support. It includes the development of a plan with diagnosis, indicators and improvement proposals, as well as financial support to implement the recommended actions.

The approved applications cover the available budget, but the programme remains open until 21 September 2026 at 14:00. New applications may be placed on a waiting list in case any granted action is not executed. The Chamber of Valladolid details the requirements and procedure on its official website.

Since the launch of the European Commission's Mission 100 Smart and Climate-Neutral Cities, Valladolid has invested €737,000 in supporting the decarbonisation of its business fabric.
