The National Learning Service (SENA) has extended the registration deadline until July 26 for its III Open Call for Occupational and Technological Training in virtual mode, with over 27,000 slots in nearly 40 programs.
The National Learning Service (SENA) has decided to extend the registration deadline until July 26 for its III Open Call for Occupational and Technological Training in virtual mode. The measure aims to enable a greater number of people to access free education and enhance their skills for the job market.
The call offers over 27,000 slots distributed across nearly 40 technical and technological training programs. They are available for Colombians and foreign residents in the country, who can complete the registration process for free and without intermediaries.
Interested individuals must register through the official platform betowa.sena.edu.co, in the virtual training section. There they can consult the academic offerings and select the program that best fits their interests and profile.
Among the available technological programs are Software Analysis and Development, 3D Animation, Digital Animation, Logistics Process Coordination, Fashion Industry Collection Development, Visual Graphic Media Development, Advertising Development, Electronic Product Development, Video Game and Interactive Environments Development, Multimedia and Web Development, and Agro-business Management, among others.
These areas respond to the current needs of the job market and aim to strengthen learners' skills in strategic sectors such as technology, the creative industry, logistics, innovation, and business development.
SENA highlighted that the virtual mode allows learners to organise their study schedules and access content, activities, and academic resources permanently, without the need to attend in person.
“We have expanded our Third Virtual Training Call. It is an opportunity for you to take advantage of the more than 27,000 slots with nearly 40 programs; remember that, being a virtual call, you can advance it from anywhere in the world,” said Yecid Torres, a professional from SENA's Training Directorate.
The entity reported that the call is aimed at the general community and seeks to promote access to education for various population groups, including rural populations, people with disabilities, black, Afro-Colombian, raizal, and palenquera communities (NARP), indigenous peoples, the LGBTIQ+ population, and women.
To access the degree programs, applicants must be at least 14 years old. Regarding academic requirements, these vary depending on the selected program. In general terms, for technical programs, a high school diploma is not mandatory, while for technological programs, completion of secondary education and certification of the Saber 11 tests (ICFES) is required.
SENA advised applicants to carefully review the specific requirements of each program before completing the registration process.
The entity reiterated that registrations will remain open until July 26, 2026, and reminded that the entire process is free, inviting citizens to avoid intermediaries and carry out the procedure only through the official platform.
With this extension of the deadline, SENA aims to facilitate access to virtual education and provide new training opportunities to thousands of people interested in improving their professional profile and expanding their job market opportunities.
