The Junta de Castilla y León has opened the call for grants for entrepreneurs in Tierra de Campos, with a fixed subsidy of €15,000 per applicant. The deadline for submitting applications ends on 15 January 2027.
The Junta de Castilla y León has launched a new line of grants for entrepreneurs in the Tierra de Campos region. The aid, amounting to €15,000 fixed per applicant, can now be officially requested and will be available until 15 January 2027. The aim is to promote self-employment and retain the population in rural areas.
Who can apply for the aid and what requirements must be met
To access these grants, entrepreneurs must meet a series of conditions. It is essential to be registered in the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers (RETA) or in a professional mutual insurance scheme, and to have started the activity between 17 March and 31 December 2026.
Additionally, applicants must be unemployed and registered as unemployed job seekers at the time of processing their registration. A minimum investment of €5,000 (excluding VAT) in expenses related to starting the business is also required.
Another key requirement is the commitment to permanence: the workplace must be located in one of the municipalities included in the programme and remain active continuously for at least two years.
Municipalities included in the call
The grants cover a wide range of municipalities in the province of Zamora, as well as towns in León, Palencia, and Valladolid. Among the Zamora towns are Belver de los Montes, Cañizo, Castrogonzalo, Castronuevo, Castroverde de Campos, Cerecinos de Campos, Cotanes del Monte, Granja de Moreruela, Pobladura de Valderaduey, Prado, Quintanilla del Monte, Quintanilla del Olmo, Revellinos, San Agustín del Pozo, San Esteban del Molar, San Martín de Valderaduey, San Miguel del Valle, Tapioles, Valdescorriel, Vega de Villalobos, Vidayanes, Villafáfila, Villalba de la Lampreana, Villalobos, Villalpando, Villamayor de Campos, Villanueva del Campo, Villar de Fallaves, Villárdiga, and Villarrín de Campos.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy for agricultural and demographic revitalisation in the Tierra de Campos region, an area traditionally affected by depopulation.
How to apply for the grant and deadlines
Applications are processed electronically through the online office of the Junta de Castilla y León. The deadline will remain open until 15 January 2027, allowing time to prepare the documentation and business plan.
The grant is awarded on a direct concession basis, meaning there is no competitive bidding: all applicants who meet the requirements will be able to access the aid. This is a relief for entrepreneurs, who will not have to compete for a limited fund. For a self-employed person starting their activity in a rural area, this €15,000 can make the difference between starting up or failing to do so, especially in an environment where initial investments are often the main hurdle.
“The aim is to consolidate self-employment in the rural environment, facilitating the creation of businesses and retaining the population in the territory,” sources from the Junta de Castilla y León state.
Interested parties can consult the complete guidelines on the electronic office of the regional government. It is recommended not to wait until the last moment and to gather all the documentation in advance: from registration in the RETA to proof of investment and the commitment to remain in the municipality.
