The Caja Rural Segovia Foundation and Red Cross have renewed their agreement for the ‘Bridges for Equality in Employment Plus’ project, which served 118 women and achieved 86 job placements in 2025.
The Caja Rural Segovia Foundation and Red Cross have renewed their collaboration agreement for the ‘Bridges for Equality in Employment Plus’ project. This initiative, which has been running for several years, focuses on improving the employability of women in vulnerable situations who are distanced from the labour market. In 2025, the project served 118 women and achieved 86 job placements and 37 professional qualifications.
Comprehensive support for job placement
The project offers comprehensive support to participants. It includes personalised job guidance, skills enhancement, training tailored to market needs, mediation with companies, and support throughout the job search process. The aim is to facilitate both access to and retention in the labour market.
According to data provided by Red Cross Segovia, the intervention model combines personalised guidance, market-aligned training, and direct work with companies in the province. This approach has proven effective, with 86 women securing employment in 2025 thanks to the programme.
Goals for 2026 and 2027
For the upcoming year, the project plans to expand its reach. It aims to assist a larger number of individuals and promote professional training courses designed to enhance skills and job aptitudes. Additionally, it will seek to strengthen relationships with the business sector, aiming to collaborate with more companies and establish partnerships that include job offers, non-labour internships, training, and awareness activities.
The renewal of the agreement ensures the continuity of the project, which has the support of the Segovia City Council, the European Social Fund, the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, the Junta de Castilla y León, and the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda. Co-financing from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) guarantees the economic stability of the initiative.
Commitment to gender equality
The Caja Rural Segovia Foundation reaffirms its commitment to supporting women in vulnerable situations. The ongoing funding of this project not only provides opportunities for unemployed individuals but also promotes gender equality in the workplace. The collaboration between entities demonstrates how a positive impact on society can be achieved.
For readers interested in female employment or in vulnerable situations, this project represents a tangible resource. Interested individuals can contact Red Cross Segovia for information on requirements and registration deadlines. The programme runs throughout the year and aims to reduce digital and gender gaps in access to employment.
