The employment service of the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Valencia has facilitated the incorporation of 61 professionals into the job market from 2024 to July 2026, providing personalised attention to 119 individuals.
The Official College of Industrial Engineers of Valencia has helped 61 people find work in the last three years thanks to its employment and job guidance service. This tool, active since 2024, has assisted 119 professionals in guidance processes, combining individualised advice and direct connection with the Valencian industrial sector.
Among the beneficiaries are recent graduates entering their first job, professionals seeking to improve their job situation, and unemployed individuals needing support to re-enter the job market. The service is aimed at both members and associated students, as well as other professionals at various stages of their careers.
Federico Torres, president of the College, highlighted that “although it is a degree with very high employability, sometimes you need guidance to access, improve, or re-enter the job market.” Torres emphasised that employment is one of the areas where the College can provide the most useful and direct service.
The service data shows a positive trend. In 2024, 62 individuals received guidance and 36 placements were achieved, with a ratio of 58.1%. In 2025, the figures were 30 individuals assisted and 12 placements. So far in 2026, up to July 3, 27 individuals have been assisted and 13 placements recorded, with a ratio of 48.1%.
The service has proven particularly effective with recent graduates. In 2024, the 11 recent graduates assisted secured their first job, and in 2026, to date, the three profiles supported in this category have also managed to enter the job market. Additionally, the College has worked with unemployed professionals and those seeking professional advancement.
At the same time, the College's job board has published 615 job offers between 2024 and July 2026: 282 in 2024, 201 in 2025, and 132 in the early months of 2026. “These figures demonstrate that the College not only fulfills an institutional or representative role but also offers concrete services that have a real impact on people's professional lives,” added Torres.
The College has also promoted initiatives for specific groups, such as programmes aimed at enhancing the employability of senior female talent. Through Reimpulsa 50+ (2023), Inspira 50+ (2024), and Excellence 50+ (2025), efforts have been made to value the experience of professional women with extensive careers. The results have shown a 33% employability rate in 2023, 30% in 2024, and 69% in 2025, reflecting significant progress.
These programmes aim to reduce age and gender gaps in the job market, connecting senior technical and managerial talent with the current needs of companies. “The market needs technical talent, but it also needs guidance, continuous training, and structures that better connect professionals and companies,” concluded Torres.
The employment service is part of the College's strategy to support students, young professionals, and members at all stages of their careers: from accessing their first job to professional improvement, reskilling, or re-entering the job market. The College represents over 2,340 members in Valencia, with more than 170 years of history.
