The public company Giahsa has signed its tenth collective agreement, a deal that reinforces job stability, updates the regulatory framework, and improves the economic and social conditions of its workers.
The Andalusian public company Giahsa has formalised the signing of its X Collective Agreement, an agreement that follows a negotiation process between management and the works council, and was supported by the workers' assembly held on July 14.
The new agreement, which replaces the previous one, aims to strengthen the framework of labour relations, consolidate the stability of the workforce, and advance the improvement of the working, economic, and social conditions of employees.
According to company sources, the text incorporates updates to adapt it to the regulatory changes that have occurred in recent years, which reinforces legal security and facilitates its practical application.
Social dialogue as a foundation
The signing of the agreement marks a new milestone in Giahsa's commitment to social dialogue, a model that seeks balanced solutions for the organisation and its workers.
The manager of Giahsa, Juan Manuel González Padilla, has highlighted that the agreement demonstrates that "dialogue, responsibility, and the willingness to understand allow for beneficial agreements for all parties."
He noted that the agreement is the result of the work developed between management and the representation of workers based on mutual respect and the pursuit of common goals.
Concrete improvements for the workforce
González Padilla has argued that the text provides stability to the organisation, improves the conditions of the workforce, and allows for tackling current and future challenges of the company with guarantees.
The manager has focused on the role of workers within Giahsa. "The strength of an organisation like Giahsa lies in the people who make it up, so it is essential to continue advancing in measures that contribute to improving their professional development, working conditions, and well-being," he stated.
The agreement includes measures aimed at facilitating its application and providing greater legal security to both the company and the workforce, according to the same sources.
Next steps
Following the signing, the text will be sent to the competent labour authority for registration and subsequent publication in the corresponding official bulletin. This procedure will complete the legal process prior to its entry into force.
With this agreement, Giahsa reinforces its commitment to social dialogue, job stability, and the continuous improvement of working conditions, while establishing a framework to continue advancing in the objectives of modernisation, efficiency, and quality of the public service it provides.
The company, which manages water and waste services in the province of Huelva, has a workforce of several hundred employees, who will benefit from the new conditions once the agreement is officially published.
