The assembly of Giahsa workers has given the green light to the X Collective Agreement, which incorporates improvements in pay, training, and early retirement. The agreement, the result of months of negotiation, affects more than 600 employees.

The Giahsa Workers' Assembly has on Tuesday given its majority backing to the proposal of the X Collective Agreement, a decisive step to conclude the negotiation process developed between the company's management and the Legal Representation of Workers.

The content of the future agreement has been presented to the staff during an assembly convened by the Works Committee, in which the main innovations of the text and the improvements achieved after the negotiations have been outlined.

The agreement reflects the climate of dialogue and understanding that has characterised the entire process, with the common goal of consolidating a stable, modern framework of labour relations adapted to the current needs of both the company and its professionals.

Improvements in pay and work-life balance

The proposal of the X Collective Agreement strengthens the job stability of the staff and incorporates improvements in various organisational, social, labour, and economic areas. Moreover, it updates various contents to adapt them to the regulatory changes that have occurred in recent years, providing greater legal security and aligning working conditions with the current reality of Giahsa.

Among the main innovations are improvements related to work organisation, staff training, pay supplements, shift change management, and processes for early retirement through replacement contracts.

"The majority support from the assembly evidences the broad consensus reached between the parties," sources from the Works Committee have stated.

Next steps towards the final signing

The backing of the Assembly represents a significant advance towards the final approval of the agreement, evidencing the broad consensus reached between the parties. After this step, the procedure will continue with the official signing of the text, its final approval, and its subsequent entry into force, consolidating a new labour framework for the entire staff of Giahsa.

For the workers, the agreement represents an update of their conditions after several years without renewal, affecting aspects such as salary supplements and shift organisation. The company, for its part, gains legal security and stability in labour relations.

The entry into force is expected in the coming weeks, once the administrative procedures are completed. Employees will be able to consult the full text through the company's internal channels.
