Hennessey Goliath 700: 710 hp to take on the Raptor R and TRX

Hennessey updates its Goliath 700 with a new Coastal Dune beige colour. The package elevates the V8 of the GMC Sierra AT4 to 710 hp and 828 Nm of torque, with an acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds.

The Texan tuner Hennessey has unveiled a new unit of its Goliath 700, a high-performance package for the GMC Sierra AT4 that directly competes with the Ford F-150 Raptor R and the Ram 1500 TRX. The big news of this version is the Coastal Dune beige colour, a shade that debuts on the pickup and aims to differentiate it in the supercharged off-road segment.

The Goliath 700 is not a factory-new vehicle, but a transformation signed by Hennessey based on the GMC Sierra AT4. Under the hood, the 6.2-litre V8 receives a Twin-Screw supercharger, a water-to-air intercooler, a new ECU calibration, and a stainless steel exhaust system. The result is evident: power jumps from the original 420 bhp to 700 bhp (about 710 hp), while torque increases from 624 to 828 Nm.

Performance and off-road equipment of the Goliath 700

Acceleration is one of its strong points. According to Hennessey, the Goliath 700 can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds, a figure that places it on par with its direct rivals. To achieve that response, in addition to the supercharger, the electronic management has been optimised and a stainless steel exhaust has been installed to improve gas flow.

In the off-road section, the pickup features a BDS suspension with upper arms and Multimatic DSSV dampers, known for their absorption capability on uneven terrain. The wheels are 20 inches and fitted with 35-inch tyres, ideal for off-road driving. The steel bumpers are complemented with underbody protection, a 40-inch LED bar, and additional auxiliary lights.

The exterior also receives carbon fibre details, such as the hood and some elements of the tailgate. Inside, Hennessey adds embroidered headrests, all-weather mats, and a numbered plaque that identifies each unit as part of a limited series, although the company has not specified how many will be produced.

Warranty and positioning against Raptor R and TRX

Each Goliath 700 undergoes bench and road testing before delivery. Hennessey backs the package with a limited warranty of three years or 36,000 miles (about 58,000 km), which offers some peace of mind compared to other preparations without coverage.

The company positions the Goliath 700 as a real alternative to the Ford F-150 Raptor R and the Ram 1500 TRX, two benchmarks in the sports pickup segment. However, it is worth noting that the Hennessey remains a modified GMC Sierra AT4, not an official factory version. This may influence the purchasing decision of those seeking direct manufacturer warranty.

Hennessey has not published a fixed price for the project. Interested parties must request a personalised quote through their website, leaving the final figure open depending on the chosen options. For those seeking a pickup with supercar performance and off-road capability, the Goliath 700 presents itself as an option to consider, albeit with the added cost that comes with a bespoke preparation.
