The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) has removed Ayamonte from its financial sustainability analysis, after noting the improvement in its accounts and the reduction of debt.
The Ayamonte City Council is no longer under the monitoring of AIReF, the state agency that oversees the sustainability of public accounts. The institution has decided to remove the municipality from its risk analysis after verifying the positive evolution of its financial situation.
According to the AIReF report, Ayamonte has maintained recurring positive balances in recent years, which has allowed for a continuous reduction of municipal debt. The document also highlights the growth of current revenues, expenditure containment, and compliance with the average payment period to suppliers, as well as the absence of significant contingent liabilities.
The assessment is based on the analysis of the economic trajectory of the council and the closure estimates for 2026, which confirm the positive trend. For the Ayamonte City Council, this recognition validates responsible economic management aimed at stability and reinforces confidence in local administration.
The exit from this monitoring represents less fiscal and administrative pressure for the municipality and lays the groundwork for maintaining the quality of public services. The local government team has expressed its satisfaction with a support that it considers the result of ongoing work over the past years.
