Neuromindset receives support from Fundalogy to scale its neuroeducation model

Neuromindset, a spin-off from the University of Granada, receives support from Fundalogy to scale its neuroeducation model in 2026 after a €350,000 funding round.

The Granada-based startup, which combines neuroscience and technology to train children's attention, adds a new strategic partner for internationalisation.

The educational spin-off of the University of Granada, Neuromindset, has received backing from Fundalogy, the entrepreneurial support entity of the Unicaja Foundation, to accelerate its growth during 2026. The agreement was signed on July 23, 2026, by Javier de Pro, representing Fundalogy, and Joan Paul Pozuelos, CEO of the startup.

Neuromindset was born in the Cognitive Development Neuroscience Laboratory of CIMCYC, a research centre at the University of Granada. It was founded by neuroscientists Lina Cómbita and Joan Paul Pozuelos, with the support of Charo Rueda, the laboratory director. Its aim is to transform scientific research into practical tools for training executive functions — attention, working memory, and inhibitory control — and emotional self-regulation in children across all educational stages.

The startup had already closed an initial funding round of €350,000 in March 2024. This round was structured in two tranches: €205,000 from business angels and private investors, and €146,000 through a participatory loan from ENISA, the National Innovation Company. This hybrid scheme is common in the Spanish deep tech and edtech ecosystem, where science-based startups need to validate both the market and commercial viability before attracting larger institutional rounds.

Neuromindset's business model is mixed. On one hand, it offers B2B solutions for schools under the Neuromindset-Schools brand, which include teacher training and cognitive training platforms integrated into the classroom. On the other hand, it markets B2C tools for families under Neuromindset-Kids, as well as specialised training for education and mental health professionals. One of its differential advantages is that it does not require expensive technology or specialised devices: the training is based on accessible neuroeducational strategies, which lowers the entry barrier for public schools and families with fewer resources.

The startup's external validation has been early. In 2022, it outperformed over 1,000 startups worldwide in the Artificial Intelligence category for promoting self-regulated learning at the GESAWARDS Impact Social Cup. In 2025, it received two additional international recognitions that reinforced its position as one of the Spanish educational proposals with the greatest social impact. Furthermore, it has participated in incubation programmes such as Climbspot and Andalucía Open Future.

Fundalogy is the entrepreneurial impact support entity of the Unicaja Foundation, with a significant presence in Andalusia and southern Spain. Its goal is to support projects that combine economic viability with measurable social impact. Although the specific figures of the support have not been made public, the backing of a corporate foundation like Unicaja provides institutional credibility, a wide network of contacts, and more flexible financing conditions than traditional venture capital funds.

For the Spanish edtech sector, this case illustrates how a university spin-off can validate its scientific model, raise public-private capital, and scale to international markets while maintaining academic rigor as a competitive advantage. Neuromindset already operates in Spain, Latin America, and the United States, and plans to accelerate its expansion with the new partner.

The combination of cognitive neuroscience and educational technology is a growing field. According to data from the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem, neuroeducation startups have raised over €10 million in the last three years, with increasing interest from impact investors. Fundalogy's support places Neuromindset in a privileged position to attract new rounds and consolidate its international presence.

The next step for the startup will be to close agreements with new educational centres and expand its training offerings for teachers. The company also plans to launch new functionalities on its platform before the end of 2026.
