The former participant of La Casa de los Famosos Mexico returned as a guest to the fourth season of the reality show, showcasing a renewed image that has generated reactions on social media.
Mariana Echeverría, known for her controversial participation in the second season of La Casa de los Famosos Mexico (LCDLF) in 2024, reappeared this Monday as a guest at the first leadership gala of the fourth edition of the programme, surprising the audience with a drastic physical change.
The television host looked visibly slimmer, with a new hair colour and a different style compared to two years ago, when her time on the reality show was marked by strong criticism and a massive backlash on social media.
In her speech, Echeverría explained that she accepted the invitation because she believes in the right to evolve and learn from experiences. “I am very happy, very excited to be back in this forum, talking about the new inhabitants of the house of the famous. I’m going to tell them what to do and what not to do. What not to do from what I did,” she declared.
Images of her reappearance spread quickly on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, where users compared her current appearance to that of 2024. Comments like “Mariana Echeverría looks so beautiful, the backlash suited her well” or “Unrecognisable Mariana Echeverría after leaving the mangos, she looks very curvy” reflect the surprise and division of opinions among followers.
After her exit from LCDLF in 2024, the host drastically reduced her television appearances, affected by public rejection. The controversy was such that the programme ‘La Rosa de Guadalupe' dedicated an episode titled “Lady Mangos,” in reference to one of the conflicts Echeverría had with Briggitte Bozzo inside the house.
Now, two years later, her return as a panellist in the leadership gala of the fourth season marks an attempt at reconciliation with the audience. While some viewers have positively assessed her renewed attitude, others remain cautious about her presence in the reality show.
The fourth season of La Casa de los Famosos Mexico continues to air in prime time, with new leadership and elimination galas scheduled for the coming weeks.
