The Colombian singer has published a snippet of her new song 'Matadora' and promises to perform it live if the post reaches a million comments before the concert this Saturday at Soldier Field.

Karol G has ignited social media with a move that combines music, interaction, and urgency. The Colombian artist shared a 15-second preview of Matadora, an unreleased track with a contagious rhythm and an urban base that evokes her bichota essence. But it’s not just a preview: she has thrown a direct challenge to her followers. If the post reaches a million comments, the song will premiere live tomorrow, Saturday, July 25, during her concert at Soldier Field in Chicago.

The video, with powerful production, showcases a more streetwise side of the artist, while not abandoning the formula that has led her to success. Within hours, the post has accumulated hundreds of thousands of comments, although the million goal is ambitious. The hashtag #MatadoraChallenge is already trending on X (formerly Twitter), where fans are organizing to reach the figure before the concert.

The Chicago concert is one of the key stops on the Viajando por el Mundo Tropitour, with which Karol G is filling stadiums. Tickets for this date sold out quickly, and the possibility of witnessing a world premiere has heightened anticipation among attendees. If the challenge is met, Chicago will experience a historic moment: the first live performance of Matadora before its official release on digital platforms.

The artist has not given any hints about when the song will be officially released or if it will be part of a future album or an independent single. This strategy of creating hype without a confirmed date is reminiscent of the one she used for Mañana Será Bonito, her record-breaking 2023 album on Spotify. Karol G demonstrates that she understands the value of making her community feel part of the premiere, not just spectators.

The exclusivity and sense of urgency generate engagement that algorithms reward, and the possibility of the track becoming a surprise live performance fuels the legend of a tour that is already a sales success. The audience in Chicago stands to be part of the history of Latin pop.

Meanwhile, the tour continues its unstoppable course. Karol G will visit Spain in June 2027 with stops in Barcelona (3rd and 4th), Seville (11th, 12th, and 13th), and Madrid (24th to 27th). Tickets sold out in record time, and if the Chicago challenge is met, Matadora could arrive at those dates as an essential anthem in the setlists.

For now, the level of hype is high, but without a confirmed release date, the anticipation cannot be total. If it plays in Chicago tomorrow, the excitement will reach its peak.
