The Tucumán startup BewPro has launched 'Impulso BewPro', a programme that will provide 200 professional websites at no cost to businesses and freelancers in the province. The initiative aims to reduce the digital divide for local businesses.
The Tucumán startup BewPro has initiated 'Impulso BewPro', a programme that will deliver 200 professional websites for free to companies, shops, entrepreneurs, and independent professionals in the province. The initiative, which starts with 50 monthly slots, aims to facilitate access to digital tools for those who do not yet have an online presence beyond social media.
According to company sources, many local businesses rely exclusively on platforms like WhatsApp or Instagram to communicate with their customers. 'The idea is to provide them with an alternative that allows them to have their own space on the internet, without the initial cost being a barrier,' BewPro representatives stated.
The selected participants will receive a website tailored to their activity, with professional design, hosting, an SSL security certificate, and an intuitive administration panel that does not require technical knowledge. Additionally, the programme includes two months of maintenance at no cost. After this period, the beneficiary can decide whether to continue with the service or cancel it, without penalties or commitments.
The call for applications is now open and is aimed at any business or professional in Tucumán that lacks its own website. Registration is free and is done through the form available at bewpro.com/impulso, where candidates must describe their activity and how they would use the site.
The selection will take place in monthly stages until the 200 planned sites are completed. BewPro has explained that the goal is to 'strengthen the digital presence of the local productive fabric' and reduce dependence on social media, which often limits control over communication with customers.
For small shops and freelancers, having their own website remains an outstanding issue. According to industry data, a significant portion of Argentine SMEs lack a website, either due to development costs or technical complexity. Programmes like this aim to eliminate those barriers.
Interested parties should note that the benefit includes only the first two months of maintenance. From the third month onwards, if they wish to continue the service, they will have to bear the cost, although the company has not detailed the rates. However, there is no obligation to continue.
BewPro is a technology startup based in Tucumán that offers web development and digital marketing solutions. With this initiative, the company reinforces its commitment to local entrepreneurship and the digitalisation of SMEs.
