The Seville-based cosmetics and nutrition firm Trending Corporate has renegotiated a financial debt of 12 million euros and has completed a capital increase of 3.5 million, according to company sources.
The Seville-based cosmetics and nutrition company Trending Corporate has reached an agreement to refinance its financial debt, which amounts to 12 million euros, and has completed a capital increase of 3.5 million. The operation, closed this Wednesday, is pending approvals and ratification by the Commercial Court of Seville, according to company sources.
The banking pool that led the debt was headed by Santander, which held 5 of the 12 million. The refinancing was advised by BDO on behalf of Trending and by Ontier as the representative of the banking pool.
The capital increase will be executed by the majority and founding partner, Antonio Catalán, with the participation of Colombian Álvaro Zuluaga from Capital Express, and businessman Soulai Temsa. Zuluaga will provide a convertible loan of 1.5 million euros, while Temsa injects two million into ACN Partners, Catalán's holding company, to enter its capital. As a result, Catalán's holding company increases its share from 54% to 77% of the share capital.
The remainder of the capital is distributed among the Alter Capital fund, co-founder Ulises Guillén, José Luis Rojano, Federico Calzado, and two capital partners. Alter Capital had injected 2.9 million in 2023 in exchange for 10% of the capital, which has now been diluted with the increase.
Soulai Temsa, originally from Tangier and based in Burgos, is linked to the energy sector after founding Energía Burgalesa and is managing partner of Beroil Energía, which generates nearly 16 million in revenue. Additionally, he entered the perfume industry with Aylan Arabic Perfumes, a wholesale perfume distributor in Europe with over 3,500 clients. With his entry, Aylan Arabic Perfumes will merge its operations with Trending and provide commercial reach in northern Spain. Temsa also becomes the commercial director of the Seville-based firm.
Antonio Catalán explained that cash flow problems arose when a company cut the credit line, creating a gap of one million euros. This forced the workforce to be adjusted from 109 to 73 employees, reduced management salaries, and eliminated unprofitable brands.
Trending Corporate has three business divisions: makeup, Korean cosmetics, and hair products, among which a market-leading Brazilian straightening treatment stands out. It also introduced a line of functional chewing gums and gelled fruit, which accounts for 3% of revenue. It manufactures its own brand of functional chewing gums for Carrefour and Aldi, Scientiffic Nutrition, and Elite Sport. The line of healthy shakes and powdered ice cream was abandoned two years ago.
The company generates 25 million euros in revenue, of which 65% corresponds to Spain and 35% to abroad. In 2025, despite being a turbulent year, revenue grew by one and a half million compared to the previous year, with a positive result of 2.5 million and an EBITDA of 4 million. For this year, they expect to reach 30 million in business volume.
The company had 16 warehouses for rent in Bollullos de la Mitación, Sanlúcar la Mayor, and Benacazón, in the province of Seville, for offices and warehouses. Additionally, it has acquired a new headquarters, although no further details have been provided.
