The Morena candidate in Sinaloa labels the PAN's complaint as an opposition strategy and challenges the party to file another complaint against local deputy Roxana Rubio.

Federal deputy on leave Graciela Domínguez Nava has responded with a public challenge to the complaint filed by the National Action Party (PAN) with electoral authorities over alleged early campaigning. The candidate for the coordinator of the Fourth Transformation in Sinaloa asserted that the complaint is part of an opposition strategy to discredit Morena's progress.

“They are going to be mistaken,” Domínguez stated regarding the accusation presented by the PAN, according to statements collected by local media. The Morena member maintained that she has not violated any electoral legislation and that she will respond according to the law.

Far from being worried, Domínguez Nava issued a public challenge to the state leadership of the PAN. “I call on the PAN to be consistent and file a complaint against Roxana Rubio. I have seen Roxana Rubio's billboards all over the state,” she expressed.

A strategy of attrition

The Morena member clarified that her priority is to continue with territorial work and not to get distracted by legal confrontations. “If their politics has always been just to be in bureaucracy and neglect the problems of those they represented, that is their problem,” she concluded.

Domínguez defended that her tours and informative assemblies in various municipalities of Sinaloa are part of her ongoing contact with citizens and do not constitute early campaigning, as the opposition claims. The PAN's complaint seeks to halt her momentum at a key moment in Morena's internal process.

The candidate criticized the way opposition parties conduct politics, pointing out that for years they prioritised office work over contact with the population. “I have no intention of responding with complaints against other political actors,” she clarified, although she challenged the PAN to be consistent.

The Roxana Rubio factor

The name of local deputy Roxana Rubio has gained relevance in this controversy. Domínguez Nava directly pointed her out, stating that she has seen Rubio's billboards all over the state, implying that she could also be engaging in early campaigning. “Let the PAN act with the same yardstick,” she suggested.

Roxana Rubio, also from Morena, has maintained an active agenda in Sinaloa, with tours and events that could be interpreted as campaigning. However, so far, no formal complaint has been filed against her. Domínguez's challenge aims to test the PAN's consistency.

The state leadership of the PAN has not responded to the challenge. Political analysts believe that Domínguez's strategy is to attempt to divert attention from the complaint against her and show strength to her electoral base. “It is a tactical move,” commented a local political consultant.

For readers interested in Sinaloan politics, this episode reflects the internal tensions within Morena and the struggle for state coordination. The PAN's complaint could delay the process, but Domínguez is confident it will not affect her aspirations. “We will continue working,” she concluded.

The internal process of Morena in Sinaloa continues its course, with several candidates in the running. The resolution of the PAN's complaint with the electoral authorities could be known in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, Graciela Domínguez maintains her agenda of informative assemblies, now with the focus on the challenge issued to her opponents.
