The CaixaBank branch in Gáldar, located at Infanta Benchera Street number 2, has been chosen to launch the new PRO model of the entity in Gran Canaria. This transformation aims to improve the customer experience and strengthen in-person service, with a design focused on closeness and confidentiality.
The Mayor of Gáldar, Teodoro Sosa, and the territorial director of CaixaBank in the Canary Islands, Manuel Afonso, visited the facilities to learn about the improvements made. Sosa expressed his gratitude for the invitation and highlighted that "Gáldar is at the forefront in Gran Canaria and the Canary Islands in improving customer service."
The mayor emphasised the positive impact for the region: "If the quality of service improves for the citizens of Gáldar and the surrounding area, I am more than satisfied, and that is why I support them to continue providing a necessary service in the daily lives of citizens, businesses, and of course, for the Gáldar City Council."
The Gáldar office is among the first in the Canary Islands to adopt this concept, with deployment continuing in the coming months. The plan is to reach five branches under this model in the Islands before the end of the year.
CaixaBank applies the PRO model to the most relevant conventional offices in its network, aiming to transform over 300 across Spain. These centres have an average of nearly eight employees and about 7,200 clients, reinforcing the role of the office as a space for personalised advisory services.
The new PRO offices incorporate specific improvements in confidentiality, thanks to the installation of modules that combine transparency and sound absorption. This benefits both in-person service and that conducted via phone or video call.
There have also been improvements in the identification of service areas and waiting spaces, with a design that prioritises comfort and clarity in navigation. The Gáldar branch is the first in Gran Canaria to launch this model, which recognises the economic and social activity of the municipality.
For the residents of Gáldar and the surrounding area, this transformation means more personalised service and a more comfortable and private environment. Clients will be able to carry out their usual transactions with greater guarantees of confidentiality, both in person and through the digital channels available in the office.
The choice of Gáldar is not coincidental: the municipality has an active business fabric and a population that demands quality financial services. The City Council has shown its support for this initiative, which is part of CaixaBank's strategy to bring banking closer to the territories.
The office maintains its usual public service hours, and clients can continue to carry out their operations normally during the adaptation period. The transformation will not interrupt service, as the entity has informed.
