The Digital Kit program, driven by the Venezuelan Chamber of Electronic Commerce and the Government, aims to rebuild areas affected by earthquakes. It includes personalised diagnosis, private funding, and free telemedicine.
The Digital Kit program, presented by the Venezuelan Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CAVECOM-E), is shaping up to be a key initiative for the reconstruction of La Guaira and other states affected by the recent earthquakes. Its vice president, Erick Beni Flores, explained that the plan combines public and private resources to offer technological solutions tailored to each affected individual.
The system conducts a personalised diagnosis based on the user's activity, accurately determining what each person or business needs to recover. The private sector has already shown willingness to fund the initiative and provide technological products with no connection costs, speeding up the return to normalcy.
Free telemedicine and digital collection centres
Among the immediate measures, Flores highlighted the activation of free telemedicine services for the affected population. Additionally, collection centres are being optimised through specialised digital solutions, allowing for more efficient management of the supplies received.
Thanks to the collaboration of a commercial partner, a call centre is already operational, providing specialised psychological assistance to the victims of the seismic movements on June 24. This initiative is part of the Venezuela Renace Plan, in partnership with the national Government.
Building supervision and digital economy
The guild representative also announced that, along with governmental entities in the state of Aragua, a plan for supervising damaged buildings is being evaluated. The structures will be classified using a traffic light system to ensure public safety.
Flores emphasised that this public-private alliance is key to boosting the digital economy in the country. The digital realm, he said, goes beyond traditional commerce, and the Government is working on these transformations. For the affected individuals, the Digital Kit represents a real opportunity for a restart, with tools ranging from connectivity to remote healthcare.
The next step will be implementation in the prioritised states, with the expectation that the model will extend to other regions. Interested parties can follow CAVECOM-E's official accounts to learn about registration deadlines.
