The startup Tipstomatch, specialised in optimising dating app profiles, has won the first award of the 'Crea y Crece' programme by Impulsa Startup, worth €1,600.

The Mallorca-based startup Tipstomatch, led by Tania Salvà and Miquel Salvà, has been awarded the first prize of the 'Crea y Crece' programme by Impulsa Startup, an award that recognises the viability and originality of their proposal: an online service that helps users improve their profiles on dating apps to achieve more matches and quality conversations.

A highly competitive 'Demo Day'

The decision was made during the 'Demo Day' held this week at the Cambra de Comerç de Mallorca, where the finalist projects presented their ideas after weeks of training and mentoring. The jury, composed of Yoann Blanc (president of the Balearic Young Entrepreneurs Association), Andrea Amaro (co-founder of Avantis), Carlos López (founding partner of Value Group), and Tomeu Guiscafré (CEO of IoT at WDNA), evaluated the applications on five aspects: proposed solution, scalability, business model, team, and presentation skills.

The jury highlighted the high level of the submitted applications, making the choice of the winner very competitive. Ultimately, Tipstomatch stood out for the originality of its proposal, the scalability of its business model, its potential for international growth, and the strength of the promoting team.

A prize of €1,600 and international projection

As the winner, Tipstomatch has received a prize worth €1,600 to continue developing its proposal. The startup offers personalised strategies for users to stand out on dating apps, a booming market where the competition for attention is increasingly fierce.

For entrepreneurs interested in such programmes, the prize not only provides financial support but also visibility and access to a network of contacts that can facilitate future investment rounds.

Finalist projects: health, collaborative economy, and software

The finalist projects covered sectors such as health, the collaborative economy, business software, and hospitality, all from an innovative perspective and, in many cases, incorporating artificial intelligence. This demonstrates the diversity and dynamism of the Balearic entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Impulsa Startup programme: two phases for growth

The Impulsa Startup programme consists of two phases. The first, 'Crea y Crece', which culminated in this 'Demo Day', has allowed entrepreneurs to turn their idea into a viable product (MVP) through 44 hours of training, tutoring, and specialised mentoring. The second phase, 'Despega', with registrations already open, will offer 10 places for entrepreneurs who want to scale their business model and present it to potential investors.

The programme is driven by the Cámara de España and co-financed by the FSE+ within the framework of the Education and Training, Employment and Social Economy Programme (2021-2027), with the support of the territorial chambers. In Mallorca, it has been promoted by the Cambra de Comerç de Mallorca with co-financing from the General Directorate of Economy, Finance and Innovation of the Government of the Balearic Islands.

Those interested in the second phase can check the rules and deadlines on the Impulsa Startup website. The registration period for 'Despega' is now open.
